Why the country I come from needs social reform

The UK, a country whose image is closely connected with class is the worst OECD country in terms of social mobility. It is impossible to correctly understand inequality without assesing social mobility. Inequality will always exist, as it is a function of human society, but its negative effects can only be nullified if there is effective social mobility. This endemic class system in the UK which in effect negates any democratic progress is so engrained that our education system is infamous for its tiered structure.
